The training was conducted by the Public Movement Multinational Georgia about following themes: “Delivery of assistance in the eradication of societal abuses and discrimination based on religious affiliation, belief, or practice in Kakheti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli, Guria and Adjara regions of Georgia”. The participants of this training were from NGO-s, which works in these regions. The trainer was Paata Gachechiladze, the chairman of Union “21-th Century”. Besides of main trainer’s interesting speech, the participants were listened the lectures about tolerance and anti-discrimination legislation from the representatives of Ombudsman’s Office as well as the State agency for Religious Issues. The last day of the training the program participants devised recommendations for civil society, state agencies as well as media how to better tackle the problem directly related to societal abuses and discrimination based on religious affiliation, belief, or practice. Similar trainings will be held with the participation of journalists.
